Business Strategy Workshop

A Model for Continuous Improvement

During the process, you and AIB will:

  • review and assess your current situation within each key area of your business
  • identify areas of improvement or reinforcement
  • develop strategies to achieve your goals in each area
  • document an Action Plan, set priorities, delegate responsibilities and assign time frames within which objectives are to be met
  • monitor progress to ensure focus is maintained

As an example, the Finance Module of the BSW includes the following areas (among others):

  • financial strategy
  • accounting and reporting systems; including internal control
  • budgeting and performance analysis
  • cash flow management
  • taxation and compliance

Other modules of the BSW include the review of:

  • marketing and sales planning
  • SWOT analysis
  • Production and quality control
  • Asset protection (plus a separate analysis of control over inventory)
  • Risk management
  • Personnel

As we work through the BSW, a number of specific tasks or projects for completion will be identified; e.g. preparation of a business plan, revision of job descriptions, review of organisation chart, redesign of management reports, implementation of inventory control system, carrying out of detailed financial analysis including ratio analysis. These will be included in the Action Plan for completion by the client, with or without AIB assistance, as determined by the client.

At AIB, we are experienced in guiding organisations through all of these aspects of business, and more.

Finally, once the Business Strategy Workshop is complete, AIB offers a maintenance programme which keeps us in touch with the client on a regular (but less frequent) basis; to help the client to remain focused, and to assist with new issues as they arise.
